We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join a dynamic engineered manufacturing environment supporting complex engineered systems.   

This role focuses on developing and executing category sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving improvements in cost, quality, and delivery performance across a global supply base. The successful candidate will also support contract negotiations, new product introductions, and initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience.

Key Focus Areas

• Development and execution of strategic sourcing and category strategies
• Supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management
• Cost optimization and total cost of ownership analysis
• Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance
• Support for new product introduction (NPI) sourcing activities
• Global supplier management and supply risk mitigation

Ideal Background

Candidates should bring 2–5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within a manufacturing or engineered products environment. Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills are essential, along with experience using ERP systems and working with global suppliers. Exposure to similar technical/mechanical industries is an asset.
