Our client is a leading Canadian manufacturer of building materials, focused on innovation, sustainability, and delivering high-quality products across Canada.
Reporting to the VP of Procurement, the Supply Chain Manager will lead a national team of Planners and Buyers while overseeing forecasting, planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier performance. The role will drive continuous improvement, optimize inventory, reduce costs, and ensure in-full, on-time, in-spec delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the national Supply Chain team.
- Oversee forecasting, demand planning, purchasing, and inventory strategies.
- Drive supplier performance and on-time delivery.
- Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve cost and efficiency.
- Lead supply chain optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Sales and other stakeholders to align supply with demand.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of supervisory/people leadership experience.
- Strong experience in forecasting, planning, purchasing, and/or inventory management.
- Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with steel, roll-forming, or building products is an asset.
- Lean/6 Sigma and CSCMP experience are also assets.
