Manufacturing and Operations

Take the lead in strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and continuous improvement.

Are you a procurement professional who enjoys finding smarter ways to buy, building strong supplier relationships, and turning data into meaningful business results?

We’re recruiting for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join an established manufacturing environment. This opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strategic sourcing expertise with a hands-on approach to cost reduction, supplier performance, and process improvement.

In this role, you’ll manage complex, high-value spend categories while serving as a procurement subject matter expert within the Supply Chain team. You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve procurement outcomes, optimize costs, and support broader business objectives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements, service levels, and commercial terms.
  • Build long-term supplier partnerships while addressing performance issues and managing supply risks.
  • Lead cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives across materials and services.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce consumption, optimize specifications, explore alternative materials, and improve processes.
  • Analyze spend data, inventory trends, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs to identify actionable opportunities.
  • Drive procurement process improvements, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality, operational performance, and organizational change.

What we’re looking for

  • At least five years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing planning systems, technologies, and procurement processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and improve standard work procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present insights clearly.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work across multiple technology platforms.
  • A self-motivated, adaptable professional who can manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • APICS or a similar supply chain certification is considered an asset.

Why consider this opportunity?

This is an opportunity to move beyond day-to-day purchasing and make a meaningful impact on sourcing strategy, supplier performance, cost optimization, and manufacturing efficiency. You’ll have the opportunity to influence decisions, lead improvement initiatives, and work with stakeholders across the business to deliver measurable results.
