We are seeking a Customs & Trade Compliance Analyst to support export, import, and trade compliance activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. Reporting to a senior leader, this role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with Canadian, U.S., and international trade regulations.
You will be responsible for maintaining compliance procedures and documentation, including product classification, export authorizations, customs documentation, technology transfers and deemed exports, audits, and compliance training. The role works closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, and external partners to support compliant and efficient trade operations.
Location: Onsite (approximately 1 hour north of Toronto)
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate export/import compliance activities in line with global regulations
- Prepare and review customs and trade documentation (CARM, CERS, FTAs, HS classifications)
- Support technology transfers, deemed exports, and controlled shipments
- Assist with audits, corrective actions, and compliance training
- Support continuous improvement and supplier due diligence initiatives
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in export/import or trade compliance
- Knowledge of Controlled Goods, ITAR, EAR, and Canadian trade regulations is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
