Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time | On-Site 5 Days/Week

Our client, a growing food manufacturing company, is seeking a Materials Planner / Production Scheduler to join its team. This is a newly established, standalone role reporting to the Plant Manager and offers an opportunity to take ownership of production planning and help build practical planning processes as the company grows.

The successful candidate will be analytical, resourceful and self-directed, with the ability to work independently, solve problems and bring together information from multiple areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage production planning and scheduling to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate material requirements and monitor inventory to support production.
• Identify potential material shortages and scheduling issues and proactively resolve them.
• Work closely with the Plant Manager and production team to adjust schedules as needed.
• Establish and improve planning and scheduling processes.
• Help develop and maintain planning and production data within ERP.
• Use advanced Excel skills to analyze data and support planning decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, inventory management and production efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Experience in materials planning, production planning, production scheduling or a related manufacturing environment.
• Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• ERP experience is an asset
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Resourceful, self-directed and comfortable working in a growing environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada; sponsorship is not available.
