Fixtures & Strategic Sourcing
Our client is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead the sourcing and vendor management of retail fixtures across a large, multi-brand organization. This role is responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier performance, ensuring contract compliance, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver cost-effective procurement solutions.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, supporting enterprise-wide projects, resolving supplier issues, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic procurement with operational execution in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management
- Lead sourcing activities for retail fixture categories while ensuring procurement activities align with established contracts and corporate purchasing policies.
- Support supplier selection, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management to deliver quality, service, and cost objectives.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving accountability and continuous performance improvements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams including Merchandising, Store Development, Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain to understand project requirements and procurement priorities.
- Coordinate procurement activities to support new store projects, renovations, and operational initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve supplier and operational issues while ensuring timely execution of procurement activities.
Operational Leadership
- Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to procurement analysts.
- Support forecasting, reporting, inventory planning, contract compliance, and supplier KPI management.
- Escalate and resolve procurement and supplier issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Document and improve procurement processes and best practices.
Reporting & Business Analysis
- Prepare executive-level reporting on supplier performance, procurement metrics, project status, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze procurement data to support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
- Provide recommendations that improve operational efficiency and procurement effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Vendor Management.
- Strong experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing complex vendor relationships.
- Demonstrated success delivering cost savings and procurement process improvements.
- Experience supporting large-scale retail, construction, facilities, fixtures, or capital projects is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Professional certifications such as SCMP, PMP, CPSM, or equivalent are considered an asset.
