The Role

This is not a traditional sales role.

As a Principal, Procurement Transformation & AI Strategy, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Chief Procurement Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Procurement Transformation Leaders, and executive stakeholders.

You will leverage your expertise in procurement operating models, transformation programs, procurement technology, and AI adoption to help organizations identify challenges, evaluate future-state opportunities, and develop strategic solutions aligned with their business objectives.

Acting as the bridge between procurement strategy and technology enablement, you will lead executive discussions, facilitate solution workshops, support implementation planning, and guide organizations through their procurement transformation journey.

The ideal candidate combines consulting rigor, procurement expertise, and technology fluency, with the ability to confidently engage senior leadership teams and translate complex concepts into practical business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with CPOs, CFOs, Procurement Leaders, and executive stakeholders to understand business objectives and operational challenges
• Facilitate discovery workshops focused on procurement operating models, governance, sourcing processes, supplier management, and digital transformation initiatives
• Assess organizational readiness for AI-enabled procurement solutions
• Develop strategic recommendations that align technology capabilities with procurement and business objectives
• Present solution architectures, transformation roadmaps, and value realization strategies to senior leadership teams
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, from initial engagement through implementation and adoption
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful customer outcomes
• Advise clients on AI deployment considerations, including risk, complexity, change management, implementation timelines, and business impact
• Support solution optimization, issue resolution, and ongoing customer engagement
• Stay informed on emerging trends in procurement technology, AI, source-to-pay transformation, and enterprise digital strategy

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Procurement Transformation, Management Consulting, Procurement Technology, Digital Transformation, or related advisory environments
• Demonstrated experience working directly with executive stakeholders and senior leadership teams
• Strong understanding of procurement operating models, source-to-pay processes, supplier management, procurement governance, and transformation methodologies
• Exceptional executive presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
• Ability to independently lead client engagements and influence senior decision-makers
• Experience supporting enterprise software implementations, technology-enabled transformation programs, or procurement technology deployments
• Strong business acumen combined with the ability to translate technical concepts into strategic business outcomes
• Demonstrated understanding of AI technologies, enterprise adoption strategies, and business transformation implications

Mandatory Experience

Big 4 Consulting Experience Required

Candidates must have previous consulting experience with one of the following organizations:

• Deloitte
• PwC
• EY
• KPMG

Experience supporting procurement transformation, procurement technology implementation, operating model design, enterprise transformation, or digital procurement programs within a Big 4 consulting environment is considered essential.
