Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their team in a newly created role. This position offers excellent career growth, including the opportunity to progress into a Commodity Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing activities and supplier relationships across North America for commodities including plastics, metals, hardware, coatings, and paints.
• Lead RFQs, supplier negotiations, vendor selection, and ongoing supplier performance management.
• Support new product introductions by working with BOMs, engineering drawings, and cross-functional teams.
• Identify cost savings and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Participate in supplier audits and occasional travel to supplier sites in North America.
• Utilize Excel and Power BI for spend analysis and reporting.
• Support the company’s future SAP implementation.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of sourcing, procurement, or purchasing experience within manufacturing.
• Experience managing suppliers and running RFQ processes.
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with BOMs and engineering drawings.
• SAP experience and/or exposure to ERP implementations is an asset.
• Global sourcing experience is a plus.
